Reporting to and supporting the Perioperative Services Nursing Manager, with a dotted line to the Administrative Director of the Surgical Service Lines, the Assistant OR Nurse Manager will play an integral role in this unit. Directly supported by two CNOR Charge Nurses, and a specialty surgery Nurse Coordinator, you'll be a servant leader to over 30 of the Bay Area's most amazing Scrub and Circulating RNs and support staff.
The Perioperative Services department in this hospital known for offering a full range of surgical services, including a well-known Robotics program, Orthopedics, ENT, CVOR, and many more. The Assistant Nurse Manager will play an important operational role in keeping this 8-OR Surgical Services Unit running smoothly, as well as an important clinical role overseeing a great team. The Surgeons and Nurses here have a reputation for being fantastic to work with, and the unit is said to feel like a family.
The Assistant Nurse Manager's core responsibilities will be clinical in nature, including direct patient care and Operating Room functionality. You'll provide oversight to Scrub and Circulating nurses, providing mentorship and guidance for evidence-based practice, you'll work to provide growth opportunities and evaluate performance, and you'll help coordinate this busy department with tact and experience. This person will also play a large role in developing and maintaining the department budget, and will be offered many opportunities to learn and grow. This is a great role for an experienced Surgery Charge Nurse or Nursing Supervisor who a path toward a rewarding career in Nursing Leadership and Management.
