Skilled Careers are working with a well respected Main Contractor with a turnover of circa £250m and a strong national presence across sectors are looking for a building services manager to join their north west business unit. Based from their regional office in Manchester you will report to a national building services director and working closely with the construction teams act as the sole MEP manager for that region. You will have an overview of 2-3 projects simultaneously with a combined M&E value of circa £12m at different stages of the project life cycle across the Manchester, Sheffield and Leeds region. The company have a strong order book and big growth plans in that region, the successful candidate will have a clear and quick progression plan to step up to regional building services manager in the near future and grow a team of M&E managers below them.
The ideal Candidate:
• Ideally Mechanically biased, 5-7 years experience in a similar role • Sub-contractor management • Some commercial understanding would be preferred • Delivery of both M&E services to high value projects throughout the city
You will ideally be from a large Sub Contract or existing Main Contracting background, having run projects valued £5m+, be comfortable managing subcontractors and be a strong communicator across the board.
