The Critical Care Assistant Manager will report to the RN Manager of the Intensive Care Unit. The Assistant Manager will be supported by a Charge Nurse within the department who will assist with any staffing or clinical needs. The Nurse Assistant Manager will have the opportunity to form interdepartmental relations with other department leaders in order to ensure optimal patient care and smooth transition between departments. The Assistant Manager will also work alongside staff RNs and listen to any concerns or suggestions they have in order to keep the department successful.
As Critical Care Assistant Manager, this person will have the opportunity to support staff, physicians, and management with the day-to-day operations of the Critical Care department. The Assistant Manager will assist in organizing, staffing, training, and coordinating the staff and department. Occasionally, the Nurse Assistant Manager will participate in providing patient care and working alongside staff to ensure daily work assignments are completed. The Assistant Manager will also be able to partner with management in decision-making processes and assist in identifying and solving daily operational problems. This person will also provide evaluation into the standard of practices and patient outcomes to ensure compliance with regulatory agency standards.
