Job Summary: As an Electrophysiology Interventional Radiologic Technologist, you will play a vital role in performing essential functions before, during, and after electrophysiology procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of equipment setup and functionality in the electrophysiology lab, including troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Assist physicians during instrumentation, pacing, and recording activities in EP procedures, ensuring accurate data recording and storage.
  • Conduct device interrogations for inpatients and post-operative patients.
  • Serve as a liaison for patients and physicians, coordinating outpatient visits and inpatient procedures.
  • Support physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac arrhythmias during invasive procedures.
  • Educate patients regarding procedural expectations at all stages.
  • Provide mentorship to new team members and maintain a safe, compliant work environment.
  • Participate actively in ongoing professional development and keep current with all qualifications and skills.
  • Contribute to a collaborative team culture that reflects our organization’s mission and values.
  • Other related tasks as assigned, ensuring adherence to guidelines for handling intravenous fluids.

Qualifications:

  • Licensure/Certification: Must possess a Licensed Radiology Technician credential from the Connecticut Department of Public Health, and a Radiologic Technologist credential from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Certification Requirements: Heart Saver AED certification from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross.
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required, along with graduation from an accredited Radiology Technology or Cardiac Electrophysiology program.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of related experience; experience in Advanced ECG interpretation, EP mapping, and ablation systems is preferred.
