Financial Controller - Hybrid

Up to £75,000 plus bonus and benefits

West Midlands - Warwickshire

This is an exceptional opportunity for a Financial Controller to join a hi-tech manufacturing business at a ground-breaking time as they enter new markets with a product that has significant advantages over their competitors. The funding is in place to support substantial growth in the UK and US markets.

Reporting to the Finance Director your remit as Financial Controller will include the following:

  • Day to day management and development of a small finance team ensuring efficient processes and procedures are place for a high performing function
  • Preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports and business insights to allow the leadership team to make key decisions based on high quality data
  • All statutory reporting and returns
  • Budget, business planning and forecasting support for
  • Ensuring full compliance to UK and US (Sox) reporting standards
  • Play a key role in the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics and effective management of Sage 200

What are we looking for?

This is currently a small business (less than 200 staff) growing fast! We therefore need an experienced Financial Controller who can 'hit the ground running' and add value from an early stage. You will have the mandate to make decisions and implement them, so you need to be hands on, pragmatic and action oriented. Essential criteria required:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA,/ACMA)
  • Proven experience of working at Financial Controller or Finance Manager
  • Excellent IT skills including MS Dynamics
  • Up to date IFRS and SOX compliance knowledge
  • A solutions finder! Someone who can identify issues, create, and implement solutions on their own initiative

This role will be office based with some flexibility for home working (2 days per week) dependent on business and team needs.
