This 150+ bed hospital has built a strong reputation in South New Mexico for excellent patient care and outstanding services. This medical center has an Accredited Chest Pain Program with PCI and Accredited Heart Failure Program. It has been nationally recognized with an 'A' by Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade and received Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Quality Approval. The facility that has been a staple of the community for years, and the incoming Intensive Care Unit Nurse will play a large role in keeping it that way.

The Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse reports to the ICU Charge Nurse and is supported by a wonderful team of Critical Care Nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants. The Critical Care Nursing team is highly experienced and well-trained in patient care. Some have demonstrated excellence through CCRN certification. The ICU and CCU are equipped with advanced technology including state-of-the art ventilators, monitoring systems, and IV pumps. The specialty trained nurses and physicians are prepared to support and treat a wide range of complex medical needs.

South New Mexico offers epic blue skies, snowy mountain peaks, incredible sea of sand at White Sands National Monument, and the magnificent spectacle of Carlsbad Caverns National Park. The Intensive Care Unit Nurse can take a trip to the past at the Billy the Kid Museum in Fort Sumner and let the Wild West come to life.
