Position Summary:
The Interventional Radiology Technologist will operate digital equipment and perform complex invasive procedures, positioning patients and preparing contrast media for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. You will assist physicians in both diagnosis and treatment while utilizing a comprehensive knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Your role will involve working with various agents, such as contrast media, chemotherapy agents, radiation agents, cements, resins, and embolization agents. This position is clinical 100% and may require performing procedures in other departments like the O.R. Cath lab across multiple imaging modalities, along with mandatory call as needed.
Qualifications:
- State of Connecticut Radiographer license required.
- ARRT certification in Radiography is mandatory.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary.
Education: Graduate from an accredited Radiography program.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year as a Radiologic Technologist is required, with 1-2 years of Interventional Radiology experience preferred.
