Summary
As a Radiologic Technologist, you will perform diagnostic radiographic imaging procedures in an acute care setting. Your role will involve positioning patients, operating diagnostic x-ray equipment, and ensuring high-quality imaging to assist in diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities
- Perform Radiologic examinations on patients according to department protocols, utilizing appropriate techniques to produce high-quality images.
- Minimize radiation exposure by adhering to safety standards and using appropriate shielding devices.
- Accurately input procedural information into electronic medical records, RIS and PACS, capturing essential information for exams.
- Gather all relevant patient information, ensuring exams are concordant with requests and performed correctly for accurate diagnosis.
- Undertake additional related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited Radiography program.
- State of Connecticut Radiographer license.
- ARRT certification in Radiography required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
