Job Type

At Kedleston Group, our vision is simple, every provision we operate will be recognised as outstanding in every way. We will never be the biggest, but we will lead, and others will follow.

About the role:

As Maths Lead Teacher at Brookways School, you will be an integral part of our team who put the children at the heart of everything we do. You will plan, assess and deliver outstanding Maths lessons to children age 7 to 17 using proven methods and approaches that enable all children to learn, whilst ensuring that pastoral needs are also met. You will establish excellent relationships with the wider staff team, parents and carers and inspire trust and confidence in pupils, colleagues, families and other professionals.

About you:

You hold QTS or QTLS and have recent experience of teaching Maths across a range of key stages, ideally with experience of working with children with SEND and ASC. Igniting a passion for Maths through highly engaging and motivating lessons comes naturally to you, as does building trusting connections with children of all ages. You are firmly committed to making a difference to the lives and education of children with special needs, supporting them to learn, develop and overcome any barriers they might encounter.

We very much welcome applications from Maths teachers wishing to transition from mainstream to working with smaller groups of students in special education. We will help you build your expertise and confidence to deliver high quality, lively and effective classroom teaching in an autism-friendly way through our ongoing package of training, CPD and one to one supervision.

Why work for us?

In addition to a competitive salary and enhanced pension contributions for qualified teachers we offer:

  • a comprehensive induction programme and continued professional development and training
  • fantastic support from your line managers and SLT who will develop you and want to see you succeed in your career
