Salary £45,000 to £55,000
Location: Oxfordshire
Due to continued growth and a strong order book for 2023, the company in question is looking to hire a mechanical design engineer. The company is renowned for pushing boundaries within its industry and being a world leader.
As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you ll be tasked with creating mechanical designs for new projects, reviewing technical product designs, turning concepts into cost-effective machine designs, and customising existing designs to the customer s specifications. You ll be involved in supplier and stakeholder interaction and all design aspects of projects through to final delivery and installation.
What we would like from the Mechanical Design Engineer:
- HND/Degree or equivalent experience in relevant discipline
- Knowledge and experience in designing automated process equipment, machinery, conveyors, materials handling, and moving parts
- Extensive experience with 3D design software (SolidWorks, Inventor, NX, Catia, etc)
- Desire to be involved in the full product life cycle
- Knowledge and experience of material selection and creating detailed BOMs
