A trusted and awarded community hospital in Southern New Mexico is looking for a Nurse Director Infection Control to join their dedicated staff!

This state-of-the-art community hospital has 250+ beds and is accredited by The Joint Commission. The Nurse Director Infection Control will join a facility that offers a wide range of acute-care services including Emergency Services, full-range Cardiovascular Care, Neuroscience, Spine, Orthopedics, Surgical Care, Women and Children's services and Neonatology . The Nurse Director Infection Control will report directly to the hospital's Chief Nursing Officer. The RN Director will be supported by multiple departmental teams of administrative and clinical staff throughout the hospital, as well as serving as an Infection Prevention consultant to multiple departments in order to ensure proper measures for infection prevention are in place. This person will be working alongside the Unit Leaders within the hospital in order to implement and execute proper prevention practices.

In this role, the Nurse Director Infection Control will oversee the practices of the facility targeted at the prevention of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs). The RN Director Infection Prevention will regularly survey practices and interpret data sets in order to apply and promote suitable epidemiologic approaches to prevent infection. This person will spearhead implementation and review of the hospital's infection prevention program, as well as provide education and training to hospital staff. The Nurse Director will also be responsible for ensuring adherence to requirements and regulations in compliance with NHSN policies and procedures - RN and CIC licensure is required.
