Job Description

One of San Francisco's premier healthcare systems is actively interviewing for a Nurse Manager to oversee their Outpatient Surgery Center. The Same-Day Surgery Center has five Operating Rooms and two Procedure Suites. The Nurse Manager will oversee an operating room team that performs approximately 25 surgical cases per day; however, this team is excited to increase their case volume. The perioperative nursing team currently performs a heavy orthopedic caseload and completes both total hip and total knee replacements.

The Outpatient Surgery Center Nurse Manager will be supported by an Assistant Nurse Manager who oversees the Pre-Op and PACU and Sterile Processing areas. This position has become available as the previous Nurse Manager was promoted into a Nurse Director position in the same ASC. This experienced surgical staff have shown great tenure and many of the RNs have been in the roles for 5+ years and have their CNOR, CPAN or CAPA credentials.

The ambulatory surgery center is located on the campus of one of the newest and technology advanced hospitals in the San Francisco Bay area. Being associated with an academic university medical center, this outpatient surgery center has a consistent referral base and the best Surgeons in the West Coast provide surgical care at this orthopedic surgery center.
