This role will report up to the Director of Critical Care. Working collaboratively with another Nurse Manager of Critical Care, the Critical Care RN Manager will lead an outstanding unit of nurses. Supported by two CCRN Nursing Supervisors and three Intensive Care Charge Nurses, this Manager takes oversight of a high performing department. You will lead the people, growth, innovation, and quality of the unit, there will be limitless opportunities for collaboration.

This fast-paced unit, with a 24/7 in-house consultation team and board certified Critical Care Physicians, is able to provide fully comprehensive and collaborative care to the patient populations it serves. The Nurse Manager of Critical Care will be a main component and advocate on this team. With 400 hospital beds and around 20 operating rooms, this 30 bed ICU needs an exceptional leader. Of the 30 bed critical care unit, approximately 5 beds are dedicated to surgical ICU and 25 are for intensive care unit patients.

Job responsibilities for the Nurse Manager of Critical Care includes operational responsibility for the delivery and quality of patient care provided, assists with developing and implementing performance initiatives, ensuring optimal patient safety and customer satisfaction. In addition, this position guides staff and is responsible for staffing and staffing decisions, budget compliance, coaching and counseling employees on work related performance, and assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures
