A trusted community medical center in the Greater Portland Area is looking for a Nurse Manager Emergency Department to join their dedicated staff.

This state-of-the-art acute care facility is fully accredited by The Joint Commission and offers a wide variety of services to its community. These services include a 24-hour Emergency Department, Imaging, Laboratory, Intensive Care, Family Birthing, and a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient Surgical Services. This medical center is also certified as an accredited Chest Pain Center by the American College of Cardiology.

The Nurse Manager Emergency Department will report to the Emergency Department Director. The RN Manager will be supported by tenured and experienced ER Nurse Supervisors, as well as an amazing team of Emergency Nursing Charge RNs and CEN Staff Registered Nurses. This person will get to work alongside an outstanding team of Emergency Medicine Physicians, Provider Specialists, and other departmental leaders.

This professional and supportive Emergency Department has over 20-beds, and offers a wide array of services to the community including Pediatric Care, Cardiovascular and Stroke Services and General Emergency Medicine. This hospital's Emergency Department has also won consecutive annual awards for excellence in Cardiac Care. The RN Nurse Manager Emergency Room will lead a nursing team in a unit that functions like a close knit family and sees over 15,000 visits annually.

The Nurse Manager Emergency Department will be responsible for the 24-hour clinical supervision and administrative management of the Emergency Department in accordance with hospital goals and values. They will facilitate the delivery of professional nursing care, and will help lead a competent team of Emergency Charge RNs and other staff by exhibiting excellent leadership and organizational skills. The Nurse Manager will also implement benchmarks for success while mentoring and educating other nursing personnel.
