The Nurse Manager of Medical Surgical Services will work with a Medical Center that is part of growing and expanding non profit health system. The Nurse Manager of General Surgical Unit will be part of a highly diverse team that thrives to providing comprehensive, excellent health care that is compassionate and attentive to all patients in the surrounding communities for over a century.

The Nurse Manager of Medical Surgical Services will be responsible for the twenty-four hour planning, organizing, directing and controlling of the daily operations and clinical practice of the Medical Surgical department. The Nurse Manager of Step Down Unit will report directly to the Nurse Director of Acute Care and will be supported by Nurse Managers and 82 skillful staff nurses.

The Nurse Manager of Medical Surgical Services will manage the team in order to provide quality individualized patient care to patients ranging from neonate to geriatric on the age continuum and support of the Medical Center's Mission, Strategic Plan, and Goals and Objectives.

The Medical Surgical Nurse Manager will assume fiscal responsibility for the unit budgets, serves as a liaison with medical staff and other personnel, promotes the maximum growth and development of each employee, supports nursing research and assures patient advocacy.
