Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a part time Payroll Administrator to join our team in Bristol!

As a Payroll Administrator, you will have the important job of ensuring all our staff are paid accurately and on time. We need your attention to detail and efficiency to process all staff data changes and payment inputs into our payroll system.

Your working hours will be 22.5 hrs per week, working Monday - Wednesday. You will begin on a salary of £14,130, however this will increase after a 6 month probationary period to £16,201.23.

What will you be doing?

  • Implementing necessary changes regarding personnel information into payroll system
  • Maintaining local knowledge in respect of each payroll
  • Keeping accurate records for Tax Office and Auditing purposes
  • Checking all payments are correct
  • Producing pay slips for each staff member
  • Processing all documentation relating to new starters and leavers, including issuing of P45 certificates and other associated tax forms
  • Investigating and resolving any employee query relating to remuneration
  • Producing regular reporting information as required by various departments
  • Preparing statutory information for readiness of reporting by Payroll Manager
  • Liaising with HR and Operation Team

What are we looking for?

  • Experience of dealing with stakeholders at all levels within a business
  • Strong interpersonal skills, being sympathetic but still achieving delivery of standards
  • Numerate with analytical skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Good PC skills including MS office, ideally including Excel and Word
  • Able to work to deadlines
  • Commitment to excellence in customer service
  • Understanding of organisational confidentiality
  • 6 months payroll experience is desired, but not essential
