This healthcare organization strives The Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Nurse Manager will be based out of 550+ bed Magnet designated acute care hospitals known for their array of inpatient and outpatient services, including their Behavioral Health, Women and Children Services, Children's Hospital, Trauma Center, and Surgical Service Department.
Reporting to the Director of Behavioral and Psychiatric Services, the Pediatric Behavioral Health Services Nurse Manager will oversee a 15+ bed voluntary and involuntary adolescent unit. In this position, the Pediatric Behavioral Health Services Nurse Manager will be responsible for Assistant Nurse Managers, Charge Nurses ancillary staff. The Nurse Manager Pediatric Behavioral Health will provide both administrative and clinical support for the department; including managing the budget, updating policy procedures, department staffing, preparing for upcoming accreditation and surveys, and cross collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Ideally the Nursing Manager Pediatric Behavioral Health Services will be up to date on best practices, offer a clinical background working in a fast paced Behavioral and Psychiatric Services department, and have previous hospital-based management experience. The Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Nurse Manager must also be a seasoned nurse who is eligible to obtain their North Carolina RN or compact multistate Registered Nurse license upon hire.
