A 25-bed critical access hospital is seeking a Nurse Manager of Surgery. This new hospital has 2 operating rooms, and 2 GI suites performing a variety of orthopedic, and general surgeries. The Nurse Manager of Perioperative Services will evaluate the clinical operations, programs and assure the safe and appropriate delivery of patient care. The RN Manager of Surgery participates in the development and implementation of new clinical systems/programs to enhance existing services and raise the standard of care for the patient population. The Nurse Manager of Perioperative oversees the daily clinical administrative and operational issues and collaborates with other departments to address and resolve problems. The RN Surgery Manager will work directly with the Director of surgery to analyze reports and develop improvement plans for the unit and be involved in hiring and evaluating staff performance. The ideal candidate will have managerial experience in surgery and an active California RN license.
