Travel to London and South East, Home Based

£43,000 - £56,000/annum + 5% bonus + car allowance + benefits

About the role

Reporting to the Technical Director, you will be responsible for delivering more complex fire consultancy services including those requiring fire engineering input, as well as identifying and analysing the impacts of changing fire safety legislation and guidance on clients.

What will you be doing in a nut shell?

1. Undertaking more complex fire risk assessments, fire strategies, audits and surveys, other bespoke consultancy including external façade inspections, as scheduled, ensuring:

  • all relevant fire safety hazards are identified and are risk assessed;
  • reports comply with client protocols and with William Martin Compliance general service standards;
  • reports are written up in a timely manner and in accordance with client SLAs;
  • reports are carefully checked before being uploaded to Meridian;
  • any post-visit client queries are dealt with in an appropriate manner and in accordance with client SLAs; and
  • a high-quality working relationship is established and maintained with the client and stakeholders.

What you need

  • Professional Engineering (or equivalent) qualifications.
  • Third Party Accreditation in relation to conducting fire risk assessments.
  • Suitably qualified and experienced in fire safety.
  • Maintenance of relevant professional memberships.
  • Proficient IT skills.

Desirable

  • Registered Engineer e.g. EngTech. IEng. CEng
  • Knowledge of property management/facilities management.
  • Management experience in team-oriented workplace.
  • Relevant Degree or equivalent.
