An award winning hospital in the Bay Area is looking for a Surgery Nurse Manager to join the Surgical Services department. This short term acute care facility is looking for a strong leader with experience in union environments and quality improvement.

This 250+ bed hospital has won multiple awards every single year since 2016, including a Gold Medal for outstanding service in the Family Birth Center and as one of America's 100 Best Hospitals in Critical Care. The Surgery Nursing Manager will join a hospital and an organization that has been recognized for consistently high performance, and this person will play a crucial role in continuing that excellence.

This Surgery Nurse Manager reports to the Director of Perioperative Services and Patient Care, and will play a central role in managing operations in this busy department. Supporting the Manager is an outstanding team of CNOR RN Supervisors, Operating Room Charge Nurses, and OR Nursing Staff. Additionally, this Manager will get to work with some of the best Surgeons and Anesthesiologists that the SF Bay Area has to offer!

The Surgery Nursing Manager will lead clinical and administrative operations in a busy 10 Operating Room department that sees over 10,000 procedures per year. The Surgical Services Department is known for its excellent culture, family feel, and fast-paced but efficient operations. The new Manager should have experience leading quality and process improvement initiatives in addition to being a great team player.

The Nurse Manager of Surgery will actively lead clinical and administrative operations for this busy and high performing Operating Room. This will include spearheading initiatives to improve reporting metrics like on-time starts and turnover time, as well as overseeing staff scheduling and running the board. The manager will serve as a subject matter expert, helping to lead educational programs, tracking competencies, and playing a key role in developing the next generation of Operating Room Nurse Leaders.

The Nurse Manager of Surgery will work just South of Wine Country, North of Silicon Valley, East of Baker Beach, and West of Lake Tahoe.
