Surgical Care Nurse

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and competent nursing care throughout all phases of surgical procedures.
• Act as both a circulating and/or scrub nurse, ensuring adherence to sterile techniques and proper handling of instruments.
• Monitor and quickly respond to patient status changes, working closely with anesthesia and surgical teams.
• Inform and educate patients and their families regarding procedures, recovery expectations, and post-operative care.
• Accurately document all aspects of patient care in the EHR, following established hospital protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to drive improvements in workflows, quality, and patient outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with infection prevention, safety standards, and regulatory requirements in the operating room.

Required Skills
